During a segment on It’s Showtime entitled Especially for YouVice Ganda and his co-hosts were interviewing Jecky and Sufhia, two ex-romantic partners. When asked about the reasons behind their breakup, Jecky cited Sufhia’s preference for wearing two-piece swimsuits as one of the causes of their separation.

Vice Ganda Says, “You Don’t Change Women, You Change the Way You See Women”

Jecky remarked, “Para sakin po, sinasabihan ko [siyasana iwasan niya mag-swimsuit kasi karamihan kasi sa mga lalaki ngayon, yung mga mata nila, parang dumidikit talaga sa katawan ng babae.”

To which Vice swiftly replied, “Edi yung mata nung lalaki sana ang kinuwestyon mo, hindi yung babae.”

“You don’t change women, you change the way you see women,” she said as she continued to call out his outdated views on dating. “You change the way you look at them, you see them, you treat them kase yun yung toxic.”

The conversation ended with Vice asking Jecky, “Ikaw din diba? Paano pag pinilit ka niya? ‘Ayoko yung suot mo, gusto ko mag two-piece ka ngayon.‘” To which Jecky sheepishly replied, “Magagalit din [ako] kase ‘yan yun gusto ko eh.

Naiintindihan naman yata,” Anne Curtis said with a smile as a way to close the conversation.

We’re so glad Vice jumped in and gave her thoughts on the topic, because if there’s something most women can agree on, it’s that a toxic male mindset has no room in a relationship.
