Four-time champion Draymond Green recently discussed his opinions on the LeBron James vs. Michael Jordan GOAT argument on the “Club 520 Podcast.” He believes that LeBron has a slight advantage over the other players because of their particular essential distinctions.

Green said, “What separates them on the court to me is LeBron’s intention to make his teammates better. The guys that LeBron has made better — like, did you see them play without him? Michael made guys better just because of how good he was. It wasn’t like ‘I think this way so I’mma do this to get this guy this.’ He’s just so good then that guy can fee doff how good you are.”

He added, “I also think a two-year break in the middle of your run is like, heaven on earth. To have two years off from this thing that we do in the middle of a run and then come back and keep going… you can’t act like he won six in a row.”

Michael Jordan’s CV is unmatched as a six-time champion, five-time MVP, fourteen-time All-Star, and ten-time scoring leader. He led the Bulls to legendary status in the 1990s, with career averages of 30.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game on 49.7% shooting. This is why many fans consider him the greatest player of all time.

However, despite his skill and accomplishments, Michael wasn’t notably recognized for encouraging his colleagues. As Draymond clarified, he seldom went above and beyond to set up his teammates or improve them. Instead, his simple presence increased his team’s chances of winning.

What Makes LeBron James A Team Player That Michael Jordan Wasn’t?

Among the many unique qualities that set LeBron James apart is his capacity to elevate the players around him. James doesn’t base his style of play on his physical prowess or his improving outside shooting.
