However, the game took an unexpected turn when Payton found himself in a heated altercation with another former NBA star, Jamal Crawford. Crawford was a player of the Enemies who engaged in persistent taunting and challenges directed at Payton throughout the game.
Payton was unable to contain his frustration. Amid a timeout, he stepped onto the court to directly confront Crawford. The confrontation escalated quickly, with both legends exchanging heated words and getting face-to-face.

The intensity peaked as trashtalking escalated to physicality, with Crawford pushing Payton in response to his verbal jabs. The situation further intensified when players from both teams rushed to intervene, preventing the altercation from escalating further.
At last, Bivouac managed to hand the Enemies their first loss of the season. Despite the loss, Crawford showcased his skills with an impressive post-NBA performance. The former NBA star led his team with 20 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 assists.
