MANILA — The challenge is on as ABS-CBN’s noontime program “It’s Showtime” announced its teams for the much-awaited Magpasikat 2024.
The show announced the groupings on Monday, or 10 weeks before the this year’s friendly competition.
Kicking off Magpasikat 2024 is Vice Ganda’s team, which includes Karylle and Ryan Bang. They will be performing on Monday.
On Tuesday, the team of Ogie Alcasid, Kim Chiu, MC and Lassy will perform, followed by Vhong Navarro, Amy Perez, Daren Espanto and Ion Perez on Wednesday.
“In-embrace na namin ‘yung Monday at sisiguraduihin namin na kakabahan ang mga susunod,” Vice said.
Last year, the team of Hilario, Chiu and Perez won Magpasikat.
“Abangan niyo ang taong ito. Promise, pasabog ito,” Hilario said.
Aside from the announcement of the groupings, “Showtime Online U” also celebrated its eighth anniversary with a captivating opening performance.
“Showtime Online U” is hosted Wize Estabillo, AC Soriano, Nicki Morena, Lorraine Galvez, JM dela Cerna, Marielle Montillano, Anthony Castillo, Anne Tenorio, Jannah Alanise, and Mackie Empuerto.
Also part of the SOU family are former TNT Kids finalist and one of the New Gen Kapamilya singers Sheena Belarmino and former Bidaman first runner-up Eris Aragoza.
“Showtime Online U” will also have a segment titled “MagpaCHIKA,” where it will give updates and a glimpse into the “Showtime” hosts’ preparations for Magpasikat 2024.
“It’s Showtime” airs every 12:00 noon on A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, GMA, GTV, ABS-CBN Entertainment’s YouTube channel and Facebook page, iWantTFC, TFC, and GMA Pinoy TV.
The program’s online show “Showtime Online U” is also available on It’s Showtime’s YouTube channel.
