Alden Richards, Kathryn Bernardo to reunite for ‘Hello, Love, Goodbye’ sequel after 5 years

Alden Richards and Kathryn Bernardo are returning on screen as Joy and Ethan for their upcoming movie, “Hello, Love, Again”, a sequel to their 2019 movie, “Hello, Love, Goodbye.”

“Hello, Love, Again” made headlines after ABS-CBN’s Star Cinema and GMA Network’s GMA Pictures confirmed the collaboration and both released a teaser on Sunday evening.

The sequel will be set five years after the events of the original blockbuster hit. “Hello, Love, Again” this time, will be happening in Canada.

During a media conference on Sunday, Richards said that the sequel of their first movie is a dream come true for him.

“I couldn’t be happier today kasi this gave me another motivation, ‘yung giving ka sa umaga na meron kang ni-lu-look forward, so I’m so excited and very happy that this is happening,” said Richards who plays the role of Ethan.

Meanwhile, Kathryn said she couldn’t believe she was saying hello again to her character Joy.

“We thought we already said our goodbyes, but here we are, saying our hellos,” she said.

Cathy Garcia-Sampana returned to direct the film again.

The sequel will hit screens on November 13 and will be showing internationally.

“Hello, Love, Goodbye” raked in over P800 million worldwide, and was the highest-grossing Filipino film of all time until it was surpassed by Rewind in January 2024.
