Tonight, Kathryn broke her silence in a statement that encapsulated all her emotions towards her 11-year relationship with Daniel.
“Like any other relationship, we tried our best to make it work. We’ve been drifting apart for a while now, and we ultimately had to accept that we can’t go back to where we used to be. It just won’t be fair to pretend that everything is still the same,” she wrote.

Right after Kathryn, Daniel posted a message for Kathryn and their fans. “Thank you for dancing with me during my highs and thank you for singing with me during my lows. Our lives may drift away, but our love will still ride that tide,” the actor posted.
Kathryn and Daniel had been one of the strongest real-life couples whom Filipinos have followed since their teenage years. They have gone through so many projects together, from phenomenal teleseryes to blockbuster films. But as Kathryn said in her post, a chapter has now been closed.

Along with the thousands of fans mourning their breakup are their fellow celebrities who have also believed in love because of KathNiel. Most of these celebrities have shared moments with the former couple and have witnessed their genuine love and respect for each other.
With a graceful breakup message like Kathryn’s, there’s no reason to point fingers and find who is to blame for the separation. Instead, celebrities have encouraged a moment of only love and support for Kathryn and Daniel amid all the noise surrounding their broken relationship.
They say breakups don’t usually affect the connection the couple had with each others’ families, especially when it has been grounded with nothing but love and respect. True enough, Daniel’s sister, Mags Ford, showed her affection for Kath and said, “we love you,” which also appears to be a message from the whole Ford family.
