Speaking exclusively to ABS-CBN News during the taping in Subic, Zambales, Martin confirmed that he was tapped by Dreamscape Entertainment to lend his directorial expertise in calling the shots in some of the show’s action-packed scenes.
It was a quick “yes” from Martin, to show his appreciation and gratitude to late Dreamscape Entertainment head Deo Endrinal. “Pamilya Sagrado” was one of Endrinal’s projects before he passed away.
From the crew to the stuntmen, Martin brought with him his team.
“Dinala ko nga yung buong team ng ‘Batang Quiapo’ para sabi ko nga, siguraduhin natin na maganda yung magagawa natin para mas makatulong pa sa show kasi maganda yung programa,” he said.
Martin admits directing “Pamilya Sagrado”wasn’t easy. There were last minute changes and challenges in finding the location. Martin also had to make sure the style and look had to be different from how action scenes are executed in his top rating primetime series “Batang Quiapo.”
Mas napaganda pa nga yung sitwasyon, yung location namin, mabigat. Honestly nai-stress kami ngayon, pero kinakaya naman kasi nae-excite kami kasi maganda ang istorya,” he said,
Asked if this was his first directorial action-TV project, Martin said: “Na hindi ako ang artista, kasi kadalasan lahat ng show ko ako ang artista, ako rin ang nagdidirek.
Lead actor Piolo Pascual, Shaina Magdayao, John Arcilla and Joel Torre were just some of the actors that Martin had to choreograph for some of the action scenes.
Dreamscape Entertainment has yet to reveal which scenes will air and give credit to Martin as the director.
