The video captured Padilla playfully adding the line “’may kapiling ka ng iba” to the song “Hinahanap-hanap Kita” by Rivermaya, leading some to speculate that the message was directed at his ex-girlfriend, actress Kathryn Bernardo.
During an interview at the opening of a theme park which he is a co-owner, Padilla candidly dismissed the rumors, describing them as exaggerated and unfounded.
“Ang OA nun! Masyado ng OA ang mga tao, nag-e-enjoy lang ako,” he remarked, implying that the interpretations of the video were blown out of proportion.
Padilla celebrated his 29th birthday in Tanauan, Batangas last April 28.
