MANILA — Anthony Jennings turned to social media to promote Metro Manila Film Festival entry “And The Breadwinner Is…” with comedian superstar Vice Ganda as the lead star.
In his latest Instagram post, Jennings reuploaded the poster of the family movie as he explained why the film movie was close to his heart.
In the caption, Jennings said that he became his family’s breadwinner at a young age.
He then shared the importance of having his family as his support system.
“Tulad ng karamihan, maaga din po ako naging breadwinner kaya ramdam ko ang hirap at saya na bitbit nila araw araw. May mga araw diyan na mahirap kaya mahalaga sakin ang pamilya at ang mga kaibigan ko na pamilya ko na din kasi sa bawat problema na pinag dadaanan ko sila lang ang nag sisilbing sandalan ko na kahit anong mangyare palagi silang may paraan para mapasaya ako,” Jennings said.
(Like most people, I became a breadwinner early on, so I feel the hardships and joys that they carry every day. There are days when it’s tough, that’s why family is important to me and friends that I treated like my real family because in every problem I go through, they are the ones who I can lean on, that no matter what happens, they always have a way to make me happy.)
“Itong pelikulang ‘And The Breadwinner Is’ talagang malapit sa puso ko. Poster palang maluha luha nako eh 😂 Ngayong pasko ito po ang aming pinaka malaking handog para sainyo. Sa mga breadwinner at sa bawat miyembro ng pamilyang Pilipino. Maligayang pasko sa ating lahat at magkita kita tayo sa mga sinehan ngayong pasko. Maraming salamat po! 🩷” he added.

Directed by award-winning filmmaker Jun Robles Lana, the Star Cinema movie “And The Breadwinner Is…” is one of the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival entries.
Also starring Jhong Hilario, Gladys Reyes, Eugene Domingo and many more, the film is now showing in cinemas nationwide.
Aside from “And The Breadwinner Is…” Jennings is also gearing up for upcoming series “Incognito,” which will be available this January 17 on Netflix, January 18 on iWantTFC, and January 20 on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, Jeepney TV, A2Z, and TV5.
