James Reid has finally spoken up about Nadine Lustre after their confirmed breakup in January.

In an interview with fashion magazine Mega Man, James revealed that he’s still trying to find himself after they went their separate ways.

“We’ve been in a love team for so long,” James shared. “And that’s been my whole life. I can’t even begin to think of who I am or what I’m supposed to be outside of that love team, which is scary. And that’s why I said I got a lot of figuring out to do,” he said.

“People might say I’m a bit heartless,” James added. “I don’t want it to seem like me wanting to know who I am without Nadine is the only reason. There are too many to point out, but that’s all I’m able to share without going into depth.”

“I still love her. It’s just my perspective on love has broadened,” he said.

In a separate interview with Mega magazine, Nadine confessed how she considers James her security blanket.

“He’s the first person to come and rescue…” Nadine shared. “I’ve learned so much from him. I’m always going to be thankful that that guy came into my life, no matter what happens.”

James is set to start filming in February for his upcoming series Soulmate Project with Nancy McDonie of K-pop group MOMOLAND.

In January, Nadine released a statement indicating that she has terminated her contract with her VIVA Artists Agency. VIVA responded by saying that Nadine remains their exclusive talent and that their contract remains valid. Nadine has been under VIVA since 2009. James, who was also with VIVA, left the agency in September 2019.
