Following her historic win during the Binibining Pilipinas 2024 coronation night as the first winner hailing from the province of Abra, beauty queen Myrna Esguerra celebrated another milestone as she graduated from college with a bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management.
Filled with joy from achieving another crown, Esguerra took to Instagram to share her accomplishment with her fans.
“Crown or Diploma? I say ‘why should I choose between a diploma and a crown when I can have both?’” Esguerra said in her post, which included photos of her wearing her toga.
The beauty queen admitted that her journey was filled with many challenges, having learned to be fiercely independent at a young age due to her mother being an OFW working abroad, leaving her to handle things on her own.
She expressed immense gratitude to the people in her life who supported her throughout her journey towards achieving her dreams of both finishing her education and being a beauty queen.
“It wasn’t easy, it was so hard, but because of all the people who showed me love, kindness, understanding, and support, I’m able to do and achieve all these. Kaya Maraming Salamat po,” said Esguerra.
Crowned as Binibining Pilipinas International 2024 last July 8, Esguerra is set to represent the Philippines in the Miss International pageant in 2025.
