It’s no secret that Nadine Lustre absolutely adores Corgis. “She loves Corgis. When she sees Corgis, she loses it,” James Reid said on Tonight With Boy Abunda.
And in March, she finally got one to call her own! Nadine and James are adorable dog parents to Cal, whose full name is Calcifer Dante Pendragon.
Nadine takes Cal to art galleries and James cuddles with him during interviews! Cal even has his own Instagram account under the username @cal.doggo.
Okay, now we want a corgi, too!
Fun fact: It was actually James’ suggestion to get a Corgi, even though he’s a self-confessed cat person (he has a cat named Susan Esperanza Encarnacion)!
Nadine has probably been asked tons of questions about their pup’s super long and unique name, so she recently took to Instagram Stories to explain its meaning. Ever the anime and gaming fan, it’s no surprise Nadine chose Cal’s three names from characters of the 2004 Hayao Miyazaki film Howl’s Moving Castle and the video game series Devil May Cry.
