You read that right. ALL net proceeds of GUTS in Manila were given to Jhpiego (pronounced ja-pie-go), which is an organization dedicated to uplifting and supporting women’s and children’s lives and healthcare across the world. One of the countries that the organization supports is the Philippines.

What happened at Olivia Rodrigo’s Manila concert?

While we’re all admiring Olivia’s humanitarian gesture, let’s all take a quick look back at some notable moments during her Manila concert. In case you haven’t heard, it was the first time that Olivia visited the Philippines and she already performed in front of a sold-out crowd. She rocked the whole Philippine Arena with 55,000 people screaming along to her songs. She really did it at just 21. YEARS. OLD!

“Been dreaming of this show for a whileeeee. My first time in the Philippines and also my biggest venue ever!!!!! Thank you to everyone Manila for welcoming me so generously and making me feel so loved,” Olivia expressed in her IG post which has over 2.4 million likes as we speak(!).

Her show was attended by various people who have known her since she was a Disney star. She starred as Nini in the High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. And this was all before she became a superstar with her hit song, drivers license in 2021. Since then, her popularity skyrocketed and there was just no stopping for the artist.

At the Manila concert, fans witnessed her getting emotional as the show came to an end. She was sitting on her famous moon setup as she lovingly looked at the massive crowd in front of her.

Along with Olivia’s dad, Chris Rodrigo, and her British beau, Louis Partridge, some Filipino celebrities were also at the show to witness Olivia’s breathtaking performances. Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes‘ daughter Zia went viral for her reaction to watching Olivia live in the flesh. Add to that the exciting fact that Olivia, said “Hi up there” to her!

In a video that Marian uploaded on Instagram, Zia can be seen getting kilig as she told her mom, “Mama, she said hi to me,” with the widest smile ever. Aww!

Elijah Canlas was also at the concert, attending in honor of his late brother, JM Canlas. “Just JM and I for the Olivia Rodrigo concert,” he shared in an IG Story, detailing how JM was a huge fan of the Fil-Am singer-songwriter.

Other celebs present were Andrea Brillantes and Sharlene San Pedro. Andrea expressed how Olivia amazed her in an Instagram post with the caption, “I really wanted a cool caption for this, but it’s been 40 mins. and this is all I’ve got. Olivia you are amazing……wow.”

Meanwhile, Sharlene took a funny jab at her Philippine Arena experience. She posted a photo of her struggling to see Olivia on stage, LOL. “Ako nung hindi binuksan yung led sa #GUTSWorldTourManila,” she posted on X.
