Andrea Brillantes surreal interaction with Sabrina Carpenter

Another ‘sana all’ moment for all of us, guys: once again Andrea Brillantes proves she knows how to fangirl like no other! One of her idol-celebrities, singer Sabrina Carpenter, not just noticed her— but also had a real conversation with her at a concert! What a lucky fan, indeed!

During Sabrina’s Manila leg of her ‘emails i can’t send’ Tour, Andrea got the chance to be interviewed by Sabrina herself. Andrea took the chance to let the singer know how her songs helped Andrea to get over a lot of her heartbreaks in life.

In an Instagram video posted by New Frontier Theater, Andrea told Sabrina: “Actually there are a lot of people who’ve ruined my reputation. Even though they’re not true and I’m just a victim, I never told them anything. But with your songs, it’s like you are the one speaking to them for me. I love your songs so much.”

Sabrina asked about her heartbreak and the Manila crowd cheered, saying they knew the guy who broke Andrea’s heart. Sabrina got curious how everybody knew and asked: “People were just being haters? And it’s a guy? It’s always the guys. (laughs) You all know the guy?” Andrea was humble enough to avoid mentioning that she is also a famous celebrity.

ICYMI, Andrea recently broke up with basketball player Ricci Rivero, who allegedly cheated on the young actress.

Andrea posted a couple of tweets sharing her surreal experience with Sabrina. And yes, she is the happiest about it!

Andrea is not a newbie to receiving backlash online, so she made sure to express her gratitude for the support the crowd gave her at the concert.

Aside from being one of the favorite pop stars of this generation, Sabrina rose to fame as the lead star in the 2014 Disney Channel series Girl Meets World. In 2021, Sabrina was wrapped in intriguing dating rumors connected to co-Disney star Joshua Bassett, who is the ex-boyfriend of another infamous pop star today, Olivia Rodrigo. After all the drama the three of them went through, which they allegedly communicated through songs, they are now focusing on their flourishing respective careers.

Sabrina held her first-ever solo concert in Manila on July 25, and she appeared to have had a really good time with the Filipino crowd. As she performed her hit song “Nonsense,” she included Manila in the lyrics, pertaining to it as her favorite city!

Fun fact: before the Sabrina interview happened to Andrea, she was first noticed by the K-pop girl group BLACKPINK’s Rosé during the girl group’s two-day concert in Manila last March 2023. Rosé noticed Andrea was holding a sign that said “I just wanna ask Ricci Rivero, will you go to prom with Andrea?” It was Andrea’s promposal for the Star Magic Ball last May. Unfortunately, a lot of netizens bashed her for that.

Now, Andrea ended up talking about her heartbreak at another concert with her favorite singer. She sure does have *interesting* concert experiences!
