For Nadine, Leather-Free Is The Way To Be

Nadine tells Preview.ph that she’s slowly figuring herself out as she leaves her 20s. The actress will be turning 30 this year, with a stellar portfolio that consists of movies like Diary ng Panget, Never Not Love You, and Deleter.

Part of Nadine’s identity is living a vegan lifestyle. In the feature, there was a directive to keep the styling leather-free, following Nadine’s preference. She says to Preview.ph, “When I see leather, it’s like I see a dead body. As soon as I found out how leather was made, it didn’t sit well with me.”

She continues, “Since there are a lot of different leather materials that are now available that’s not [made from an] animal, why not shift? It doesn’t make any sense if I tell you that I’m an animal lover and I contribute to this.”

Nadine Reveals How She’s Intentional In All Her Choices

The leather-free choice connects to how her vegan lifestyle continuously evolves. She says, “When it’s a diet, you’re just plant-based. When you say you’re vegan, it includes everything—the products that you use, the clothes, the shoes that you wear, things that you eat, the brands that you support.”

Nadine first posted about going vegan in 2021. It coincided with how she became the island girl we love, adopting Siargao as her second home.

In 2022, she appeared on a vlog with Dr. Aivee Teo, and talked about her pescetarian diet at the time—a choice she made so she could smoothly transition to a totally plant-based diet. By 2023, Nadine again updated the celebrity dermatologist on how she’s been vegan for eight months. She opened up about how she completely stopped buying leather bags and shoes..
