Last Tuesday, March 8, Kris Aquino announced that she is leaving her home network after 20 years of being an exclusive Kapamilya artist.
ABS-CBN management finally broke its silence following Kris Aquino’s announcement that she’s leaving her home network for 20 years.
In an official statement published on ABS-CBN News Online today, March 10, the ABS-CBN management maintained they respect Kris’s decision to take a break from showbiz to prioritize her health and family.
The management also assured Kris that the Kapamilya network will welcome her back when she’s done with her “much-needed break.”
ABS-CBN’s official statement read, “We respect and support [Aquino’s] decision to take a break from show business and prioritize her health and spend quality time with her kids.
“ABS-CBN and [Aquino] have agreed to discuss future plans after she takes her much-needed break.”

Based on her Instagram post today, the Queen of All Media said that she refused to cry despite her recent announcement that she will be taking a break after she’s done with her hosting stint for Kris TV.
Kris wrote in the caption of her post, “My last taping for @kristvofficial_ig, and it’s a wrap… I succeeded in not crying while doing my interview- because in my heart I know, I’ll see you again… Until then #LoveLoveLove”

Last Tuesday, March 8, Kris announced that she is leaving her home network after 20 years of being an exclusive Kapamilya artist.
She added that her contract with ABS-CBN will officially end on March 23.

But in an exclusive interview with PEP.ph and YES! editor-in-chief Jo-Ann Maglipon, Kris revealed that ABS-CBN management told her that the network is willing to wait until she’s ready to get back to work again.
“In fairness to ABS, they were willing to wait for me to get my health break. They know I need the rest,” said Kris.
“But I didn’t think it would be fair to them for me to do that.
“You know, it’s 20 years!”
