Bimby Aquino clarifies that his mom Kris Aquino does not prevent him from getting in touch with his dad James Yap.

Bimby Aquino said his dad, basketball player James Yap has not contacted him in years.

In a video posted on Kris Aquino’s Facebook page on Friday, April 23, Bimby was asked by her mom if he feels resentment that he grew up without James his side.

Bimby answered: “No, kasi I have such an awesome Mama.”

The 14-year-old then named the people who have shown him kindness. These people, according to Bimby, have filled up the void James has left.

“All of those people overflowed it already,” he said.

The celebrity parent likewise asked Bimby if he has forgiven his dad.

“Yeah ’cause… Sorry sa bluntness po ha, I don’t really care,” he said.

When Kris told him that peole might find his answer “bastos,” the celebrity kid explained, “Hindi siya bastos po. You forget and when you look back at the memories those horrible memories mawawala na ‘yung pain.”

Bimby also revealed that James has not contacted him in years.

“He has his own life, and I have my own life. We are not in contact…,” he said.

Tired of being “blamed as the bad guy,” Kris chimed in and said: “A lot of people think that I have prevented you from making contact with him.

“He’s the one who’s not trying to get in contact with me. I have a phone, and it just takes like 10 digits to call me, e, hindi niya ginawa in ilang years.

“But all those people who love me who care about me are like 650,000 times better than what I could get from him.

“Sorry sa bluntness ko po.”
