MANILA, Philippines – Kris Aquino is now back in the Philippines, her friend Len Alonte confirmed to ABS-CBN News on Friday September 13.
Aquino previously announced in an Instagram post on September 12 that she would be returning to the country as she starts a second round of treatment for her illnesses.
Aquino is set to receive treatment in two to three weeks, and said she would need emotional support from her family, closest friends, and doctors.
“The reason I decided to go home is because I need to start my second immunosuppressant infusions in 2-3 weeks (it’s a gentler term for chemotherapy). Emotionally I need the encouragement and unwavering faith my sisters & cousins, closest friends, and trusted team of doctors can provide,” Aquino wrote.
