Kris Aquino has asked her fans for prayers as she gave a fresh update about her health.

In an Instagram post over the weekend, Aquino first thanked her friend Anne Binay and her family for making her eldest son Josh “an adopted member of your clan” during their Mother’s Day celebration.

Aquino then shared that she had a consultation with a fourth doctor over the weekend, this time a cardiologist at the University of California, Los Angeles. She described the development as a “test of courage.”

She said she would share more details “when I’m ready and when my complete test results are in.”

In the meantime, she asked her social media followers to “please help me pray for good health for all moms and a very ‘Brave Heart’ for yours truly.”

In an interview with Boy Abunda last February, Aquino said she “refuses to die”. She said the next several months would be crucial as she would take some risks in terms of her medication.

With a history of heart problems in her family, Aquino said it was difficult for her to have autoimmune diseases.

“I could have a stroke at any time. I have to relate this because of genetics. Ang lolo sa side ng dad ko, original na Benigno S. Aquino, he was 55 years old, when he had a massive heart attack and cardiac arrest, he died in my dad’s arms and my dad that time was only 15 years old. That’s only 2 years older than me,” the former talk show said.
