Marian Rivera is very proud of her first Cinemalaya movie ‘Balota’.

That’s why he was at the media launch/presscon of the 20th Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival 2024 early this Wednesday at the Ballroom of The Metropolitan Theater.

We talked to Marian even before the said media launch started.

As for Dingdong Dantes’ wife, she said she was only shooting for 7 days, but the hardships she suffered were severe.

Originally, the actor was only going to use a dummy or fake ballot box as a prop in the movie, but he said he was having a hard time acting with the fake ballot box being heavy, so he talked to his director, Kip Oebanda, to use a real ballot box instead.

 

Just in the trailer of the movie, it can be seen in many scenes that the actress is carrying a heavy metal box while running in the fields and forests. So it was inevitable that he would have wounds and bruises.

Marian did show us the scars on her arm that she got during shooting. He was sore from his wounds. They said that they will also disappear. The important thing is that he fulfilled his dream of making a Cinemalaya movie.

The film ‘Balota’ is just one of the 10 feature full-length films of Cinemalaya 2024.
