MANILA — Her busy schedule at work likely caused actress Julia Barretto to fall ill, her boyfriend Gerald Anderson said on Sunday.
“‘Yung duda namin, nagkasakit na kasi she was shooting a movie, then a series. Then now, magshu-shoot ulit siya ng movie, so medyo sunod-sunod na. So nagkasakit siya, but ganoon talaga,” said Anderson.
“Na-confine siya ilang days din. Malala din, malala,” he added.

Barretto shared through Instagram last May 13 that she has been discharged from the hospital. In the post, she expressed her gratitude to her doctors, nurses, and the entire medical staff for taking care of her while she was ill.
She also emphasized the importance of prioritizing one’s health.
“A tough time but taking this one as a reminder that our health should always be top priority,” said Barretto.
Fans of the celebrity couple have been sending well-wishes and prayers for Barretto’s speedy recovery.
Barretto is set to star in the movie “Un/happy For You” with Joshua Garcia, while Anderson is set to work with director Erik Matti in an action movie.
