After stepping in due to Simone Biles’ unexpected withdrawal, Jordan Chiles helped Team USA Gymnastics secure a Silver medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Her journey back to the big stage at the Paris 2024 Olympics has earned her a few notable fans.

“There’s been a few moments this last couple of weeks that have been just outrageous,” Gina Chiles, Jordan’s mother, told Nexstar’s Jala Washington.

Gina said that some of the world’s biggest stars have sent Jordan gifts. Megan Thee Stallion sent her an enormous bouquet, while Beyoncé sent a signed Cowboy Carter record with a little note saying, “From your twin.”

“Everybody was like, if Beyoncé called me twin, I would pass out,” Gina said. “(Jordan)’s so excited.”

Even though Jordan has achieved at the highest levels, her parents don’t stress the results.

“Go out there and do your best, forget the rest,” said her father, Timothy Chiles. “If you get first, second or third, or if you don’t podium, just do your best.”

The icing on the cake may have come when Jordan’s namesake reached out.

“We need to get your phone number changed because certainly Michael Jordan did not,” Gina joked about the NBA legend texting his support for Jordan. “And it was. It was really him. And they have a little dialogue going back and forth.”
