At this point in his career, LeBron James has received his flowers. Despite continuing to play at a very high level at 39 years old, his peers and fans alike understand that they are blessed to still be watching an NBA legend at work.

His legacy is already cemented in the eyes of many. For some, he will never catch up to Michael Jordan. For others, he is the undisputed GOAT due to his otherworldly talent and playstyle. Any Top 5 list without James is dead on arrival. So when LeBron’s son, Bryce James, delivered his five best players, it was no surprise to see the King at No. 1.

Even though his list started out very logical, it then took a turn that made fans say that Bryce “doesn’t know ball”. There’s no denying Russell Westbrook is one of the most influential and impactful players of the 2000s. His nine All-Star nods and NBA MVP award speak to that. But Top 5 is quite the stretch, to say the least.

Some fans weren’t too thrilled with his Carmelo Anthony selection either. Given LeBron’s friendship with Melo since being drafted in the same year in 2003, it’s likely Bryce has become close with Anthony throughout the years, which sparked the selection. Anthony is a true great, but not that level of great.
