Kyline Alcantara has received Eton International School’s Pillar of Hope award for children’s rights advocacy.

In an Instagram post on Monday, the young Kapuso actress penned a long, heartfelt letter to express just how grateful she was to receive such an honor.

Kyline dedicated the award to all children “dreaming to become somebody someday,” and shared with them some words of encouragement based on her own experiences.

According to Kyline, they all can reach their goal if they “just hold on to your dream, fight for it, work for it.”

She reminded them to “pray to God because he and the people around you will help you achieve your dream.”

After issuing all-important reminders —”Be confident, Be persistent, have some courage but be kind”— Kyline gave wise words about failure.

“Lastly, don’t be afraid to fail. It’s all part of the journey because that means you tried and you can always try again,” she wrote.

Thank you so much ETON International School for this award! Truly, it is such a big honor to be awarded as one of the Pillars of Hope.

Let me dedicate this award to all those children who are dreaming to become somebody someday. I want all of you to know that you can be somebody that you want someday if you just hold on to your dream, fight for it, work for it, and don’t forget to pray to God because he and the people around you will help you achieve your dream.

Don’t let your situation right now become a hindrance on achieving your dream, don’t let a single voice that’s stopping you float from million voices who is pushing and helping you to achieve your dreams.

Be confident, Be persistent, have some courage but be kind. You and you alone will create your own destiny and your future.

Lastly, don’t be afraid to fail. It’s all part of the journey because that means you tried and you can always try again. Rise up from that failure and continue the journey and always hold the dream in your heart, and soon you will make it.

Remember to always hope because it’s the first step to success. And hoping is free. Just like what my favorite quote from a speech would say “no matter where you’re from, your dreams are valid.
