For the first time, Kyline Alcantara , 22, and Kobe Paras, 27, agreed to be interviewed together about their identity.

This took place at The Farm by Concepcions in Infanta, Quezon on October 3, 2024, a few hours before the Kapuso actress joined as a guest performer in the “Free Star-Studded Concert,” presented by Vice Mayor LA Ruanto.

The interview includes this author of the Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP.ph), along with GMA-7 entertainment news reporter Lhar Santiago, and showbiz columnist Lito Mañago.

Kyline admitted that she was close to Kobe with the blessing of her father Butch and mother Weng.

When asked what her parents’ impression of Kobe was, Kyline jokingly replied, ” They say he eats so hard. Hahaha!”

At the same time, Kyline described Kobe’s interaction with his family.

“Because it’s Papa, he can’t be affirmed by words.

“As long as I see my Dad and Kobe bonding, and they’re laughing, that’s a confirmation for me like, ‘Oh my gosh, in fairness they get along.’

“Even my brothers [Kendt and Roan], they play pusoy dos, and they bond.”

Kyline continued, “As for Mama, what is she like, eh… Because my family can’t find words, eh.

“‘That’s Mama’ when she looks, and I feel that Mama trusts her, like for example ‘when I go out—movies, brunch or dinner, that’s when I feel, ‘Ah okay, it’s okay.'”

For his part, Kobe is excited to introduce Kyline to his mother, Jackie Forster.

Kobe’s revelation, “It’s really not enough for my mom to meet Ky.

“My mom is in Europe right now. Nasa Amsterdam siya. So, hopefully when that day comes, I’ll be happier.”

Kobe is said to be able to talk about Kyline to his mother.

Tukoy pa ni Kobe kay Jackie: “We had some various Facetime calls. She expresses to me how much she’s excited to meet her [Kyline].

“So, it excites me as well ’cause I haven’t seen her a while.”

Kyline and Kobe still haven’t directly admitted the true state of their relationship.

But many of those who follow them believe that they have a special relationship.

Kyline said, “As for me, my answer to that is ‘what you see, is what you get.’ That’s what I always answer.

“Again, sinabi ko naman before, it’s not my responsibility to explain, or confirm nor deny anything to the public.”

Kyline said she knows that it is inevitable to talk about her and Kobe’s private lives because of their work.

Pero diin niya, “But we’re not public properties, we’re public figures.

“Again, it’s my right to deny or confirm anything.”

Kobe joked about his attitude.

“Me, I’ll answer,” smiled Kobe.

Even though he is still a bit of a minority, Kobe said that he is comfortable in the world that Kyline lives in in showbiz.

His parents Benjie Paras and Jackie, as well as his older brother Andre Paras, are actors.

He grew up with Benjie and Andre acting, so it’s not new to him.

Kobe himself is the only novice when it comes to his personal attendance at showbiz events.

Kobe screamed, “I feel like I’m more famous now, because of Kyline.

He took it back, “No, it’s just a joke.”

Kobe got serious when he asked what qualities of Kyline he liked.

The young man greatly admires Kyline’s love for family.

“I said this in a lot of my interviews—her fire, her passion for work, her ambitions, it’s close to mine.

“It’s very nice to see a girl-boss doing her thing and taking care of her family and providing for her family. Not a lot of people do that.

“I don’t really have a lot of friends who provide [for] the family, or have the pressure to take care of them.

“So, she makes me happy, and makes me very proud. That’s the kind of person she is.”

Kobe’s snoring was constant while being interviewed.

But it also encouraged the description of what he liked about Kyline physically.

He looked at Kyline for a long time before saying, “The eyes are mine.

“I was going to say the forehead, but it’s the eyes [really].

“That’s what I saw when I first met her.”

Kyline also constantly laughs at Kobe’s jokes—one proof that they enjoy each other’s company.

But the girl also took it seriously when she answered what she liked about Kobe.

Kyline said: “Well, it’s Kobe, the more we get to know each other or the more I get to know him, I can really see that he’s independent, he’s caring as much as himself and his family, and even his friends, actually.

“I’ve known some of his friends, and they really say that Kobe takes care of himself differently. He’s really thoughtful.

“And last, he’s funny. Inherited from Uncle Benjie.”

The girl added, “Physically, I am his smile.”
