Even with the season creeping up, LeBron James looks like he’s got no worries at all. With all the Lakers’ drama—JJ Redick stepping in as the new coach, trades staying low key, and LeBron getting closer to the end of his career—the King’s just vibing, making the most of his offseason after the grueling and victorious Paris Olympics 2024.
LeBron and Savannah James are living it up in Trapani, Sicily! They just posted pictures from Saline Culcasi on their Instagram stories, and it seems like they’ve hit the pause button on life. The shots capture the salt mounds chilling in the still waters, reflecting that deep, moody blue sky.
The clouds are adding some serious drama, making the whole scene look super relaxed. It’s like LeBron’s soaking in the peace before getting back to the hustle of the new season. It’s awesome to see him kicking back with his fam and enjoying some quality downtime!
Earlier, he was seen vibing to a hip-hop track while grinding in the gym in his Instagram story. Even in the offseason, he’s still on it, showing there’s nothing the King can’t handle. It’s seriously inspiring to see his drive and how he keeps pushing himself year-round. But his solo grind won’t be enough for the Lakers; the team needs everyone pulling together.
Are the Lakers Truly Contenders for Next Season?
The Lakers let go of Darvin Ham after their quick playoff exit against the Nuggets last year and brought in JJ Redick as the new head coach. Even with LeBron and AD lighting it up in Paris, Tim Bontemps thinks there’s still a gap. He’s saying the team needs more versatile two-way wings who can make moves on both ends of the floor
“They have put such a poor team around him and Anthony Davis, that they have been an afterthought the vast majority of the run and especially the last few years outside of, again, they had some favorable matchups that got them to the Conference Finals one time; otherwise they’ve been a non-factor.” Bontemps said on hoop collective.
But the big deal is that LeBron’s still got the skills to be a game-changer, and with him and AD on the team, it’s mind-boggling why they haven’t made a bigger splash. Even with two of the league’s biggest stars, the Lakers are still falling short, making them look pretty irrelevant and struggling to stay in the mix.
Bontemps’ frustration is totally on point—when you’ve got that kind of star power, you’d think they’d be crushing it. It’s a real head-scratcher why they’re still falling short despite having so much talent. What’s your take on it?
