Over the years, the “King of Pop” has seen many changes in his nose and jawline, but he insists that it is due to vitiligo.

In 1972, Michael Jackson was the youngest member of the Jackson 5. The “King of Pop” had not yet reached puberty and had a characteristic dark brown skin.

As he entered puberty, Michael Jackson’s face naturally changed. His cheeks became bony, no longer chubby, and his jawline became more masculine. However, Michael Jackson increasingly disliked his appearance, especially his acne-prone skin and large nose. According to J. Randy Taraborrelli, Michael Jackson’s biographer, the singer was always annoyed when his brothers in the family called him “big nose.”

In 1979, Michael Jackson underwent his first plastic surgery. He underwent rhinoplasty at the age of 21 after an accident during dance rehearsal.

In 1987, after the release of the album “Bad”, Michael Jackson’s face began to change significantly, especially in his skin, thin nose, bold eyelids and cleft chin.

In a 1993 interview with Oprah Winfrey, Michael Jackson admitted that his skin color had changed, not due to plastic surgery, but as a result of vitiligo.

Since 1995, Michael Jackson’s appearance began to change to the point that his face was no longer the same. The “King of Pop”‘s eyes widened, his jaw became square, and his lips became fuller. Dr. Pamela Lipkin believes that Michael Jackson became addicted to plastic surgery.

Dr. Steven Laughlin, who performed surgery on Michael Jackson until the late 1990s, admitted to ABC News that although Michael was very happy with his face, he still wanted more work done.

In 2001, Michael Jackson’s face changed beyond recognition.

In response to rumors of plastic surgery, Michael Jackson clarified: “I have not had any changes to my face, except for my nose. It helps me breathe better and sing higher notes.” However, surgeon Pamela Lipkin confirmed to ABC News in a 2003 interview , Michael Jackson’s changes were not natural.

In his later years, Michael Jackson rarely appeared in public without a mask to hide his face. However, some photographs show his face was gaunt, his cheeks sunken and his chin deformed.
