“He didn’t stand a chance against my popcorn,” Ledecky had previously joked about playing the children’s game with Jordan.

Fans can’t get enough of a throwback moment between Michael Jordan and Katie Ledecky.

In the clip, which has recently resurfaced amid the 2024 Paris Olympics, Jordan is seen playing peekaboo with Ledecky when she was a baby, in what appears to be a luxury box at an event.

While standing behind her, Jordan puts his hands in front of young Ledecky’s face and quickly pulls away. However, Ledecky doesn’t seem to care much at all as she continues to eat a snack every time Jordan pulls away his hand.

It’s not until the end of the video that she cracks a smile and looks over at the person sitting beside her.

Ledecky, who shared the video on her X account in April 2020, mentioned the docuseries “The Last Dance” in her caption. The show chronicles Jordan’s rise to stardom and focuses on the athlete’s final season with the Chicago Bulls.

She wrote, “Grabbing my popcorn for tonight’s episodes of #TheLastDance. I can tell you one thing about Michael Jordan: he’s a tough peek-a-boo player but he didn’t stand a chance against my popcorn.”

The clip has recently resurfaced as Ledecky competes in the 2024 Paris Olympics. Fans are once again praising the clip of Jordan playing peekaboo with Ledecky.

“Girl, you were ice in this. Nothing he’s doing disturbed your peace. A champion even as a little,” one X user commented under Ledecky’s 2020 post.

Another penned, “One goat to a future goat!”

A third wrote, in part, “The wonders of fate.”

During the Summer Games in Paris, the 27-year-old has already won three medals: gold in the women’s 1500-meter freestyle, silver in the women’s 4×200-meter freestyle relay and bronze in the women’s 400-meter freestyle.

When she won her gold medal at the 1,500-meter freestyle, she set a new Olympics record with a time of 15:30.02.

“I’m just so honored to represent our country,” Ledecky said after the race.

After winning silver in the women’s 4×200-meter freestyle relay on Aug. 1, Ledecky became Team USA’s most decorated female athlete in Olympic history with 13 medals. Her next race is the women’s 800-meter freestyle event on Aug. 3.
