Enrile draws flak from netizens over Vice Ganda comments

Chief Presidential Legal Counsel and former Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile drew flak and criticisms from netizens over his comments on television host Vice Ganda.

Enrile was interviewed on SMNI, the network owned by FBI most wanted Apollo Quiboloy. Enrile reacted to the 12-day suspension order of the Movie Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) over the icing incident involving Vice and partner Ion Perez.

“The problem here in our country is that if you have power, political, social, economic or whatever, you hardly think about your fellow man,” Enrile said.

“The characteristic you have given to society is that you no longer look at the welfare of others,” he added.

Enrile said that he is not a fan of the television host when it comes to his style of comedy.

“Just think about yourself. You think what you are doing is good, but you are rude, you are a rude person. Not only without decency but abusive. I know it’s funny what you’re talking about, that woman has been like that since day one… you’re earning your living and popularity from rudeness,” Enrile added.

Netizens were quick to defend Vice over Enrile’s comments.

“Enrile has the nerve to call Vice Ganda Salacious. And that really came from you. @vicegandako is embarrassed by the number of women you have,” a netizen commented.
