Priyanka Chopra’s Dancing at Anant Ambani’s Wedding Goes Viral

Aclip of actress Priyanka Chopra dancing at the lavish wedding of the son of Asia’s richest man has gone viral.

Chopra and her pop star husband Nick Jonas were among the star-studded guests at the three-day event in Mumbai where Anant Ambani,the youngest son of Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani, married his long-term fiancée Radhika Merchant.

Following the ceremony, a party was held Friday night during which Chopra could be seen dancing along to Bollywood music.

Videos of Chopra at the luxurious wedding event have now been viewed hundreds of thousands of times on social media.

“If there’s one thing Priyanka Chopra will always do is show up in India twice a year for less than 48 hours and remind everyone what a superstar she is,” posted the @StaceySuperDuper X account while sharing the clip.

@Ganddhirks wrote: “Thanks to #AnantRadhika’s wedding, we are getting to witness the Desi Girl dancing to a Bollywood song.”

Another account wrote while sharing another clip of Chopra dancing: “You can never take the desi out of THE desi girl exactly.”

Other guests included reality TV stars Kim and Khloe Kardashian, former British Prime Ministers Tony Blair and Boris Johnson, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, as well as hundreds of others of famous names across politics, business and entertainment.

“Great wedding! First time to attend in India!” China’s ambassador to India, Xu Feihong, wrote on X while sharing photos and videos of the event. “Best wishes to the new couple and double happiness.”

The lavish celebrations are expected to end on Sunday with a reception party.

It is estimated that the total cost of the five-month wedding spectacle was around $600 million.

Just this week, singer Justin Bieber was reportedly paid $10 million to perform at a pre-wedding ceremony known as the sangeet for the couple.

The eye-watering cost of the wedding has led to criticism highlighting the gap between the wealthy and the poor in India, a country which has more than 200 billionaires and extreme poverty.

“The problem with the Ambani wedding isn’t the ostentatiousness. It is the exhibitionism,” author Salil Tripathi posted on X on Saturday.

Ambani is the youngest of three sons. His father, chairman and managing director of conglomerate Reliance Industries, is worth more than $123 billion, making him the ninth- richest person in the world, according to Forbes magazine.
