It was this week when Robin Padilla was active in clapping back to netizens regarding the issue behind the ABS-CBN franchise renewal. On Facebook and Instagram, the actor and known supporter of President Rodrigo Duterte voiced out his opinion regarding the said issue.
Robin said he was not against the franchise renewal, but pressed that people should focus on the welfare of people in production.
In the comments section of one of his Instagram posts, a netizen compared Robin to FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano leading man and creative director Coco Martin.
According to the netizen, Robin should look up to Coco who has helped the jobless get employed through the longest-running action drama series.
The teleserye is well known for giving second chances to actors who have been out of the limelight for so long. Examples of these actors include Whitney Tyson, CJ Ramos, Mystica, Mark Anthony Fernandez, and Rhed Bustamante.
Robin answered back, saying that as a well-known action star, he has done what Coco did, especially when he was active in making films.
It was also in this comment where Robin mentioned the alleged pouring of water of Coco to one member of the production crew of Ang Probinsyano and for an altercation with a female road manager.
He ended the comment by likening himself to John Lloyd Cruz. Robin felt that, like John Lloyd, he wants to fade away from television to veer away from showbiz issues.

However, the netizen answered back.
Peace be with you”
“Meron pa ngayon silang tv plus, i want tv , kbo at kung ano ano pa.

Coco has yet to answer back from Robin’s remarks, with only his Dreamscape family answering to the press, saying Coco has never maltreated his staff and crew.
However, in his second Instagram account, @cocomartin_ph, he reposted comments of netizens defending him from the words of the veteran action star, including his fans, members of the press and his former Ang Probinsyano co-star Baron Geisle
