However, as reported on ABS-CBN News, the “My Ex and Whys” star recently shared that she has always been a shy person, which might have stemmed from a bad experience she had when she was a kid living in the United States.

Soberano, who shared her story on “Umagang Kay Ganda” recently, stated that she was almost always bullied when she was at school in California.

“I’ve learned to let it go,” dagdag pa ni Liza, “But it doesn’t mean I don’t get hurt sometimes.”

“I wasn’t sure whether it was because of my race. I never knew why, but sometimes they would call me an ugly duckling. I only had only a few friends. I wasn’t popular in school or anything,” she admitted.

The Fil-Am star also stated that she would felt ugly because of how she was treated at school, although she still couldn’t understand why she was treated that way.“I do not have any closure with those who bullied me in the States,” she said.
