The third year of the GMA Gala has wrapped up and we were treated to a night filled with celebs who were all dressed to the nines. Cosmopolitan Philippines got in on all the fun, too. We also got to enter the Grand Ballroom at the Manila Marriott Hotel in Pasay City on July 20, 2024, and personally see all the stars interacting with each other at one of the biggest entertainment events of the year.

Sure, the public saw the celebs’ sultry and elegant red-carpet looks (black and white with a little bit of sparkle was the theme of the night!). But we at Cosmo also got to see who was seated next to who at the event proper. It’s always fun seeing how celebs act around each other!

The table arrangement at the GMA Gala 2024

It was a biiiig event—it spanned two big ballrooms! So needless to say, we didn’t get to go around check out every table. But we did our best, swear!

First things first—our fangirl heart fluttered when we saw that Marian Rivera, Dingdong Dantes, Heart Evangelista, and her husband, Senate President Chiz Escudero were all in one table. Heart and Marian even posed for photos together!

Of course, we just had to take a look at where the It’s Showtime fam was seated—after all, they were saved for last on the red carpet for two years in a row now. When Vice Ganda, Vhong Navarro, Jhong Hilario, Ryan Bang, and Darren Espanto entered the ballroom, we saw that they immediately went straight for the table with the three big execs at ABS-CBN. They exchanged hi’s and hello’s with CEO Carlo Katigbak, Chief Operating Officer of Broadcast Cory Vidanes, and Chairperson Mark Lopez. Turns out, they were tablemates!

We also saw now-GMA star Bea Alonzo dropping by the ABS-CBN table, exchanging hugs with her former bosses and chatting for a bit. Bea was seated with her GMA colleagues, Cosmo Women of Influence 2024 awardee Carla Abellana, Kyline Alcantara (who had an interesting exit with rumored beau Kobe Paras), Dennis Trillo, and Jasmine Curtis-Smith who attended with her boyfriend, Jeff Ortega.

Just a couple of tables over was power couple Vicki Belo with Hayden Kho, her daughter Cristalle Belo, and Cristalle’s husband, Justin Pitt. They were tablemates with Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee, Matteo Guidicelli, Ruru Madrid, and Bianca Umali.

We also spotted Barbie Forteza with longtime boyfriend Jak Roberto—whom we caught sweetly and thoughtfully making way for Barbie’s pouf-y ball gown. We spotted that they were at the same table as Korean actor Kim Ji Soo, who’s currently starring on the show Black Rider with Yassi Pressman. We also saw Yassi walking around hand-in-hand with Camarines Sur Governor Luigi Villafuerte.

Another star-studded table included Cosmo cover girls Kylie Padilla and Andrea Torres. They were with journalist Ces Drilon, Miss Universe Philippines 2021 Beatrice Luigi Gomez, and actress Rere Madrid, who just so happened to walk the red carpet with tablemate and basketball star Kai Sotto. (*wink wink*)

Two of the performers that night—real-life couple Julie Anne San Jose and Rayver Cruz were seated with love team partners Ysabel Ortega and Miguel Tan Felix, who were together at the red carpet.

The stars of GMA’s primetime teleserye, Abot Kamay na Pangarap, were within reach of each other (see what we did there?) at the same table. It was Cosmo Up Close cover Kazel Kinouchi with Jillian Ward, Pinky Amador, Allen Dizon, Dominic Ochoa, John Vic De Guzman, Klea Pineda, Jeff Moses, and Ken Chan.

Oh, what we’d give to sit at any of their tables!
