Joshua Garcia is starring in a new teleserye with a different leading lady.

He’s joining Maja Salvador, Geoff Eigenmann, and Janella Salvador in an upcoming thriller romance called Killer Bride. From what has been revealed so far, it looks like the story is about the ghost of a woman named Camilla (played by Maja) who possesses Emma (Janella’s character).

‘Huwag mo na patulan yun. Mag-relax ka na.’

In an interview with entertainment editor Miguel Dumaual, Joshua and Janella confirmed their new onscreen pairing:

Janella admitted that their roles are challenging. Playing Emma, for instance, requires her to be more “sensual” in the series. “It’s a bit more mature than kung ano’ng ginagawa ko before,” she shared.

Joshua and Janella confirmed that their onscreen partnership marks the formation of their new love team. Fans have even started to label their tandem “Joshnella,” something they’re totally okay with. Joshua even shared how appreciative he is, saying, “We’re happy kasi may sumu-support, e. May makita ka lang kahit konting suporta.”

Janella also shared how close she is with Julia and how they even used to hang out with Joshua, as well. “Siyempre I’m very close to her so we talk about everything under the sun,” she said.

Is this the end of #Joshlia, then?

In April, Joshua and Julia Barretto celebrated their second anniversary as a couple, but earlier this June, Julia appeared in one of Erich Gonzales‘ vlogs and shared how “in love” she is with the peace she’s gained recently, sparking breakup rumors.

Joshua and Julia finally broke their silence on June 28, with Julia saying that for now, they’re back to being “best of friends.” Joshua explained that just like any other couple, they just went through a phase.

Amidst breakup rumors, the two were spotted together eating out with the rest of their co-stars in their upcoming zombie movie, Block Z:

Killer Bride is set to premiere in August.
