Rappers 50 Cent and Floyd Mayweather have had a long-running rivalry, trading insults and taunts on social media over the years. They’ve also periodically made amends, only to start feuding again soon after. Their latest falling out stems from comments Mayweather made defending music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, who currently faces multiple s*xual assault lawsuits. On a recent podcast, Mayweather refused to criticize Diddy, stating “mistakes happen.”

Upon hearing this, 50 Cent took to Instagram to slam Mayweather’s defense of the allegations against Diddy. He mocked Mayweather as sounding “stupid” for dismissing serious assault accusations. This prompted 50 Cent to reignite tensions with Mayweather, capitalizing on interest around the Diddy lawsuits.

A war of words has erupted between rapper 50 Cent and boxer Floyd Mayweather over comments Mayweather made defending music mogul Diddy against multiple s*xual assault allegations.

During a recent podcast appearance, Mayweather refused to criticize Diddy, stating “mistakes happen” when asked about accusations Diddy r*ped four women. Upon hearing Mayweather’s remarks, 50 Cent took to Instagram to mock his longtime rival, writing: “Champ is you stupid or is you dumb? You sound like a hater.”

The feud was sparked when Mayweather appeared on The Pivot Podcast earlier this week. When hosts questioned Mayweather about the s*xual assault lawsuits pending against Diddy, the champion boxer dismissed the seriousness of the allegations.

“I’m not gonna speak bad about P. Diddy,” Mayweather said. “‘Cause he still a Black man. Mistakes happen…It’s not my job or anybody else’s job to go on the internet and stomp him and kick a man while he’s down.”

He continued: “Even if that happened to my daughter, I would be hurt but that’s a choice that my daughter made.”

“Get me the f*** out ya head, you sound like a hater,” 50 Cent wrote about Mayweather’s interview.

Upon hearing Mayweather’s attempt to defend Diddy against assault accusations, 50 Cent took to Instagram to call out the boxer’s comments.

50 Cent has repeatedly mocked Diddy since s*xual assault lawsuits began mounting against the music mogul in November 2022. Diddy faces three lawsuits in New York and quickly settled with ex-girlfriend Cassie.

On Instagram, 50 Cent has promoted an upcoming documentary series he’s producing titled Surviving P. Diddy. He’s also cracked jokes about buying Diddy’s REVOLT media network and threatened to release merchandise branded “Diddy Do It.”

So 50 has seized opportunities to capitalize on the controversy surrounding Diddy. Upon hearing Mayweather dismiss allegations against Diddy as “mistakes,” 50 slammed his longtime rival for defending the music executive.

50 Cent has taunted undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather for years, challenging him to read children’s books in exchange for donations to charity. Recently 50 and Mayweather mended fences, posing together in August 2022.

But 50’s harsh reaction over Mayweather’s Diddy comments could reignite tensions between the two celebrities. 50 likely couldn’t resist ridiculing Mayweather’s tone-deaf statements sympathizing with an accused r*pist.

Given 50’s constant jabs over Diddy’s lawsuits, this likely won’t be the rapper’s last attack on Mayweather related to Diddy’s ongoing legal situation.
