Randi Mahomes, mother of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, took to Instagram Stories on Friday to reveal the truth behind rumors of her remarrying after she was spotted wearing a “Bride” tiara in a picture.

The photo of Randi wearing the headpiece was originally posted by IG account @tristan_mosher with a caption congratulating her and saying “the cats out of the bag,” leading to many believing she was getting married.

It’s unclear why Randi posed with the tiara, but she denied the rumors by reposting the IG Stories publication with the caption: “Fake news.”

Randi, 50, also shared a photo of her wearing the same outfit and seemingly at the same location, but without the tiara, and holding a baby whose identity remains unknown.

Patrick Mahomes Sr., a former MLB player, married Randi in the late 90s and they divorced in 2006. They share sons Patrick and Jackson Mahomes, while her daughter Mia is from a different relationship.

Randi Mahomes is thriving
Randi is thriving as a single mother of three, though she now only has to take care of Mia, who accompanies her everywhere.

They are often seen attending Chiefs games alongside Patrick’s wife Brittany Mahomes and his brother Jackson.

Despite the family going through several tough moments in the offseason, Randi remans positive every time she posts on social media.

Randi’s mother passed away on April 5 and she continues to struggle with the loss, but her family is what keeps her strong.
