Social media megastar Jake Paul is set to take on arguably the biggest test of his career so far when he steps inside the ring against Mike Tyson.
The two will lock horns at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, in July this year. The event will be broadcast live on Netflix. Going into the fight, a lot has been said about how Tyson is risking his health. However, it looks like the fight is going to be an exhibition, so both fighters will most likely take it lightly.
Ahead of the fight, it was revealed that Jake Paul had put on a lot of muscle and was looking big for the fight. Paul has fought as low as 185lbs in the past; however, as of now, he reportedly weighs around 230lbs.
Surprisingly, Paul suggested that he still felt fast. The same was revealed by legendary boxer Shane Mosley, who said:
“I just saw Jake yesterday, he’s 230 pounds. He’s big, really big. He said he feels as fast as he does at 185.”
Jake Paul offers $10 million to Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz for an MMA fight
Jake Paul recently made an interesting offer to former UFC stars Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz. Four years into making his professional boxing debut, Paul has faced some big names like Anderson Silva, Tommy Fury, and Tyron Woodley.
Moreover, at one point, he was also in talks to fight former UFC fighter Jorge Masvidal inside the squared circle. While that fight did not happen, he ended up fighting Nate Diaz instead.
During a recent episode of his podcast, Jake Paul suggested that he’s very serious about an MMA fight against Jorge Masvidal or Nate Diaz. He said:
That said, it will be interesting to see if a future fight can occur.
