Yet David Beckham proved that Brooklyn wasn’t the only cook in the family as he gave fans a glimpse at his skills while rustling up a roast dinner.
In scenes for his Netflix docuseries BECKHAM, the former footballer, 48, revealed he spends every weekend in his £50,000 BBQ tent, which boasts a 12-seat table and BBQ alongside a huge grill.
Under the watchful eye of chef Brooklyn, David was filmed frying mushrooms and cooking a roast dinner, even making a separate meal for wife Victoria.
Walking around his giant cooking space, designed by his pal Guy Ritchie‘s company WildKitchen, he revealed: ‘On Saturday morning I just potter around this place, it’s my escape.’

He confessed: I’m in here from 11 to 9/10 o’clock at night, sometimes later, just grilling! That’s all I do, I bring my iPad, watch the football…’
The camera then cut to David checking on his roast chicken in the oven, while Brooklyn – beer in hand – leaned over to inspect the food.
As the 24-year-old former photographer checked ‘did you put thyme in there as well?’ David teased in response: ‘yes chef!’
The camera then cut to David sharing his pride about his four children: Brooklyn, Romeo, 21, Cruz, 18, and Harper, 12.
Discussing his and Victoria’s parenting style, he mused: ‘We’ve tried to give our children the most normal upbringing as possible but it’s hard when you’ve got a dad who is a former England captain and your mum is Posh Spice!
‘They could be little s***s but they’re not. I’m so proud of my children and so in awe of my children and the way you’ve turned out.’
As David continued to check on the food in the BBQ tent, Cruz revealed that David wakes up at 6am to light the fire before Harper wandered in and asked to sample some of the chicken.
With the family, and Brooklyn’s wife Nicola Peltz settled at the dinner table, David then called over his wife to collect her meal – a bowl of high protein, low fat and low calorie mussels.

David’s £50,000 tent was created by Hollywood director Guy, a BBQ obsessive, who previously admitted to having over 30 grills.
The Gentlemen director previously said the Wildtable is a ‘brand new way to cook, gather and eat’ and that it works by burning charcoal or wood under a glass lid in the centre with smoke drawn away by a flue.
Prices range from £2,500 for a four-seater to £50,000 for a 12-seater in a kitchen in a dining tent.
The Beckhams also gave fans a glimpse inside their £12M Cotswolds home during the docuseries.
The couple snapped up their country retreat for a reported £6.15 million in December 2016.
After the Beckhams’ improvements, the property boasts a sauna, plunge pool, football pitch, gym, swimming pool and £50,000 safari tent in the grounds for entertaining, and is now thought to be worth about £12 million.
In the new documentary, viewers were given a look at the Soho Farmhouse-inspired retreat, which is designed with hardwood flooring and exposed brick walls.
David also showed off his immaculately organised wardrobe as he spoke about his ‘obsession’ with keeping things in order.
