Deontay Wilder has been humbled.
Wilder went into Saturday night’s heavyweight championship bout against Tyson Fury with an undefeated 42-0-1 record, with his lone draw coming against Fury in 2018.
Many thought the second installment of the fight would be just as entertaining and possibly go the distance. Fury was having none of it as dominated Wilder, knocking him down to the canvas repeatedly.
Ringside footage of one of his hits that knocked Wilder down showed just how menacing his punches were to the former champ.
Wilder would not be available to speak for his post-fight press conference because he had to be taken to hospital.
Wilder appeared to suffer the ear injury in the third round, when Fury landed a heavy right hand to his temple:

The defeat was the first of Wilder’s career, taking his record to 42-1-1.
