On Thursday it emerged that Paul will fight Tyson at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas on July 2020, despite a 30-year age gap between the fighters.

Paul, 27, has vowed to put Tyson to “sleep” even though the latter will be 58 by the time of the fight.

The high-profile bout is set to be held at the 80,000-seater home of the Dallas Cowboys and will be streamed live on Netflix.

”I’m very much looking forward to stepping into the ring with Jake Paul,” Tyson said. “He’s grown significantly as a boxer over the years, so it will be a lot of fun to see what the will and ambition of a “kid” can do with the experience and aptitude of a GOAT.”

Meanwhile, Paul said: “It’s time to put Iron Mike to sleep.”

He added: “It’s crazy to think that in my second pro fight, I went viral for knocking out Nate Robinson on Mike Tyson’s undercard. Now, less than four years later, I’m stepping up to face Tyson myself to see if I have what it takes to beat one of boxing’s most notorious fighters and biggest icons.

“My sights are set on becoming a world champion, and now I have a chance to prove myself against the greatest heavyweight champion ever, the baddest man on the planet and the most dangerous boxer of all time. This will be the fight of a lifetime.”

Despite returning to the ring for an eight-round exhibition fight against Roy Jones Jr in 2020, Tyson’s last professional bout was in 2005.

Yet should Tyson’s training footage be anything to go by, Paul will not take the veteran fighter lightly. You can watch the footage in the above clip.

In response to Tyson working the pads, one fan on X, formally Twitter said: “57 or not, you’d be crazy to bet against Mike. Jake looks so pretty, I hope Mike doesn’t take a bite out of him.

Another added: “People complaining he’s 57 he would beat most boxers still at 57.”

A third said: “He hits pads like he’s fighting his trainer.”

A fourth person said: “If it’s not an exhibition (it probably is), I can see Mike getting to Jake’s chin. Chin is awful defensively and leaves himself open.”
