Angeline Quinto admits she has her share of troubles and a tight hug from friends like Vice Ganda helps ease the pain. “Sabi ko, ‘Te walang ibang tao sa aking ganyan. Ikaw lang at si Erik [Santos]… ‘Tapos [sinasabihan] niya ako na ‘wag ko raw po gagawin yun kahit na anong problema pa yung dumating sa akin,” said Angeline, referring to Vice Ganda’s #NoToSuicide statement on Instagram.

Angeline Quinto is one of the showbiz personalities deeply affected by the suicide of teen star Julia Buencamino.

In this respect, she shares Vice Ganda’s sentiments about the importance of having a good support system to avoid incidents of suicide, especially among troubled teens.

The singer-actress told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) yesterday, July 14, that she and Vice had an emotional moment remembering the sudden passing of the 15-year-old actress.

She related, “Kagabi [Monday night, July 13] po kasi magkasama kami ni Ate Vice sa bahay niya.

“Napag-usapan nga po namin yung nagpakamatay na bata.

“Sabi ko, tinatanong ko siya, ‘Te, sobra akong naaawa sa family nung namatay.’

“Tapos hindi pa rin po klaro, ‘di ba po, kung anong nangyari kung bakit siya nag-suicide?”

Angeline said it reminded her of her own troubles, and why it’s really important to have someone to depend on during difficult times.

“Tapos [sinasabihan] niya ako na ‘wag ko raw po gagawin yun kahit na anong problema pa yung dumating sa akin.

“So, sabi ko, ‘Oo nga ‘Te, kaya lang minsan napanghihinaan ako ng loob, e, pero ‘di naman ako magpapakamatay.’

“Tapos nag-picture kaming dalawa na masaya kami, ‘di ba?” said Angeline, referring to Vice Ganda’s #NoToSuicide Instagram post with the two of them in the photo.

Angeline said Vice and Erik are her most trusted confidantes.

“Tapos medyo emotional kami kagabi.

“Sabi ko, ‘Te, walang ibang tao sa aking ganyan, ikaw lang at si Erik.’

“Tapos yun, hanggang sa niyakap niya ako… saka siya nag-caption ng ganun.”

Angeline also said, “Ako po yung mas ganun sa mga taong espesyal din sa akin po.

“Sila talaga ang nilalapitan ko kasi ayaw ko nung ako lang mag-isa, bibigat yung pakiramdam, e.”
