What happened to the “Kitakits” post shared by Carlos Yulo?

Atty. Raymond Fortun, the lawyer who freely offered his service to Angelica Yulo, the mother of Carlos Yulo, shared this post about the two-time Olympic gold medalist’s “Kitakits” post.

Carlos indeed brought pride and honor to the Philippines with his performance at the Paris Olympics. The country celebrated his win and the victory of his fellow Pinoy athletes. However, despite the celebratory atmosphere, animosity rose as the conflict between Carlos and his family, especially his mother surfaced.

Atty. Fortun helped Angelica Yulo in facing this issue. He organized a press conference to let Caloy’s mom speak her side of the story. Amid this issue, the gymnast showed that he and his father Mark Yulo are okay.

A Facebook post went viral when Carlos Yulo and his fellow athletes had their parade. A netizen shared a photo of the gymnast’s father in the middle of the crowd during the parade as he was also showing support and celebrating his son’s win.

Caloy reposted this with the message for his father, “Maraming salamat Pa, masaya ako nakita kita don nakasuporta! Pasensya na pa hindi ako masyado nakakaway, ang daming nag pa authograph hehe [grinning face with sweat emoji]. Kitakits soon Pa Mark Andrew Yulo.

Just recently, writer and social media personality Krizette Laureta Chu shared a screenshot of Atty. Fortun’s Facebook post. In the post, the lawyer shared a timeline of what transpired regarding the Yulo family issue.

Fortun said that Caloy brought honor to the country on August 3 and 4. He said that from Aug. 4 to 13, Mark Yulo called his son 20 times but these calls were ignored and Carlos did not call back.

Then, on Aug, 14, Carlos joined a parade and shared a post after that saying “Kitakits” to his father. However, 4 days after that, as of the night of Aug 18, there was no single text message or call from Carlos Yulo to any member of his family.
