Liam Payne once confessed to being “fearful” of P Diddy during a conversation on The Graham Norton Show. He recounted an unnerving encounter with the music tycoon and other A-list celebrities, stating: “I went over to speak to him and Jay-Z and as I shook his hand he just chuckled…the most evil laugh I’ve ever heard. So, I’m a little bit fearful of that man.”

Payne recalled the incident occurring while P Diddy, also known as Sean Combs, was in the company of Jay-Z and Leonardo DiCaprio.

He described the experience as “the most daunting celebrity encounter” in what now seems to be a chilling interview. In a heartbreaking twist of fate, Liam tragically died at the tender age of 31 after falling from a balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina on October 16.

He was staying at the Hotel Cas Sur in Palermo with his partner when the accident happened. A local ambulance chief spoke to TMZ, revealing: “At 17:04 through the 911 integrated public safety system, we were alerted of a person who was in an internal courtyard of the management of the South House hotel. At 17:11 a same team arrived and verified the death of this man and later we found out that he was a singer in a musical group,” reports the Irish Star.

“Unfortunately, he had injuries that were incompatible with life as a result of his fall, so we had to confirm his death. There was no possibility of resuscitation.”

Heartbroken fans have gathered at the site of the tragic incident to honor the One Direction star. The scene was filled with emotion as mourners knelt in sorrow and candles were placed in remembrance of the musician.

Payne rose to stardom with his One Direction bandmates Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, and Niall Horan after their big break on The X Factor.

Led by Simon Cowell, the group quickly won over a worldwide audience, finishing third on the show behind winner Matt Cardle and runner-up Rebecca Ferguson.
