Here’s some good news to end the first week of December 2024: Megan Young and Mikael Daez are now expecting baby no. 1!
The well-loved celebrity couple shared the exciting news on their Instagram accounts with a video where they introduced their first child as “Player #3.” Obviously, Players #1 and #2 are Megan and Mikael. Megan captioned her baby announcement with, “A new beginning for us. Bonez & Fofo & Baby Daez.”
For some, it may look like a long time coming as the couple got married way back in 2020. In the past, some pregnancy rumors have actually circulated online about the two—which they have humorously and respectfully denied to the public. Moreover, Megan and Mikael have been vocal against pressuring couples when it comes to the baby-making department.
In one of the episodes of their podcast back in September 2022, Megan noted how Filipinos tend to be conventional when talking about building a family nowadays. “Some people are curious as to why that’s our point of view because I guess it’s not normal, or it’s not like a common thing for couples to be like, yeah, we’re fine even if we don’t have kids,” Megan once declared.
At that moment, she recalled how people would express a kind of shock when they hear that Megan and Mikael are actually fine even if they do not have kids of their own. “Usually, it’s like, ‘Yeah, we’re trying. Or yeah, we really want to have kids,’ or ‘Maybe like in the next couple of years.’ But for them to actually hear na, ‘Oh, they might actually be okay without kids,’ parang it’s a bit of a shock to some people.”
As for Mikael, she puts all the decision-making when it comes to having babies to Megan. After all, he says, Megan will bear the process of having a baby. “You are the baby carrier and I’m just here to tell them that I’m here to support… We’re kind of okay just coasting along living our life, and seeing what life throws at us,” Mikael conveyed.

So, now that life has thrown them the chance to be the (cool) parents that they are, all of their friends and family expressed their well wishes and happiness for Megan and Mikael. We spotted some celebrities who were just as excited as the expecting couple.
Megan’s younger sister, Lauren Young, was ecstatic as she dropped her overly excited comment on Megan’s post. Lauren said, “AUNTIE LOWHLOWH IS READY!!!!!!!! I love you guys!!!!!!!!” You see, the number of exclamation points she put in her comment is a clear manifestation of her feelings, LOL!
Their fellow content creator and vlogger, Laureen Uy also sent her congratulations to the happy couple. “Congratulations,” Lauren sent including three heart emojis.
And then there was actress-comedienne Chariz Solomon saying, “Awwwww congrats. Super excited ako for you guys!!! You’re gonna be super cool and fun parents for sure.” Other celebrities like Max Collins, Krishnah Gravidez, and Kate Valdez were also present to send their congratulations to the expecting parents.
