In an interview with ’24 Oras,’ Carlos Yulo said he is grateful to have met Chloe San Jose.
Carlos Yulo brought pride to the Philippines this August when he dominated the gymnastics men’s floor exercise and vault events at the 2024 Paris Olympics and won two golds.
Of course, his victory was made possible by his non-stop training and dedication to being a better athlete. However, Carlos Yulo also has another weapon on his side that helped him become the gold medalist that he is today.
In an interview with Mel Tiangco in 24 Oras last Thursday, August 8, Carlos Yulo acknowledged his girlfriend, Chloe Anjeleigh San Jose for helping his well-being and mental health while he trained for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

“Naalagaan po ‘yung mental health ko and well-being ko po [at] mas nakilala ko po ‘yung sarili ko personally, at through ups and downs po, nandoon po talaga si Chloe,” Carlos said on Thursday.
(My mental health and well-being were taken care of and I got to know myself better, and Chloe was there through ups and downs.)
As expected, it was not just rainbows and butterflies for the couple, but Carlos was proud to say that he and Chloe did not give up on their Olympic dreams.
(There were trying times, but I am really grateful that Chloe did not give up on me and our dreams.)
With the immeasurable help and love from Chloe, Carlos could not help but share his gratitude for having met his girlfriend.
“Sobrang thankful po ako sa kaniya [at] sobrang thankful po ako kay God na pinakilala ako [kay Chloe]. Grabe po ‘yung suporta na natanggap ko, ‘yung tiwala, and ‘yung pagmamahal [mula kay Chloe],” Carlos said.
(I am thankful for Chloe and I’m also thankful to God that he let me meet Chloe. The support, trust, and love I receive from Chloe are unbelievable.)
