By GMA Integrated News

PAGASA is monitoring a low-pressure area located 1,170 kilometers east-northeast of extreme northern Luzon at around 3 p.m. on Tuesday.

According to its daily weather forecast on Tuesday afternoon, the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) is also affecting the same area.

The Batanes and Babuyan Islands will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the Habagat, while the rest of the country will have localized partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

Possible flash floods and landslides may occur in some parts of the country due to said weather conditions.

Meanwhile, the whole country will have light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.

Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 5:43 a.m. on Wednesday.—Jiselle Anne Casucian/RF, GMA Integrated News
