Vice Ganda and Billy Crawford built their friendship via the noontime show, It’s Showtime, however, now that the latter is out from the said noontime program, does it [also] mean that their friendship is over?
However, following the non-renewal of the ABS-CBN franchise and shut down of the said Network, Crawford was one of the artists who decided to leave the Kapamilya ward.
Crawford formally announced his network shift on Vice Ganda’s YouTube show Gabing Gabi Na Vice. He then bid farewell to Vice Ganda and they both turned emotional.
Vice then assured that Crawford will always be part of the family despite his network shift.
“Maaaring lumipat siya ng bahay, pero family pa rin tayo. Kaya kahit lumipat ka ng bahay, kahit saang bahay man tayo magpunta, magkakapamilya, family kita, at mahal na mahal kita. Kahit na magkatapat man yung mga bahay natin, family tayong dalawa, di ba? Magkakawayan tayo dun sa magkakatapat nating bahay. At susuportahan natin ang isa’t isa.”
Everything went well not until It’s Showtime founding director Bobet Vidanes also left the show to direct the rival program Lunch Out Loud on TV5.
Since then, Vidanes received indirect blows from the hosts regarding his network shift.
On October 11, about a year after his exit, Vidanes revealed the real reason behind his leaving It’s Showtime.
According to Vidanes, he left the show because he prioritized his health more than anything else, denying the allegations that he did it for money.
However, the hosts of It’s Showtime did not buy Vidanes’s drama.
He did not receive any reaction from Vice Ganda and the other hosts.
A week ago, on Instagram, Vidanes posted a photo with Crawford and Kim Atienza (who also moved to GMA Network recently).
He captioned the post with, “We are together..forever, Good friends! TRUE friends! Good to be with you guys..”
Netizens speculated that the director made an indirect hit to his former It’s Showtime family.
Netizen @ateniyomarina also noticed that Crawford and Vice Ganda have unfollowed each other on Instagram.
