Kapamilya stars across generations walked the red carpet looking their glamorous best.

One of the head turners of the evening was young star Francine Diaz, who donned an elegant and sexy Val Taguba gown creation.

Francine paired the shimmering beaded ensemble with Tiffany & Co. jewelry and custom-made footwear by Doreen Odvina of Shoepatos.

For fans, the moment couldn’t be more perfect for Francine to shine even brighter.

An incident, though, dampened their collective excitement, replacing that feeling of anticipation with dismay as they watched the program proceedings.

STEALING THE SPOTLIGHT?

It happened during Francine’s red-carpet moment at ABS-CBN Ball streamed live for viewers to see.

While Francine was having her moment on the red carpet, an inset of Andrea Brillantes being interviewed flashed on the bottom of the screen.

This made fans upset as they felt that Francine’s moment was snatched from her.

Adding fire to the issue was the history between the two Kapamilya stars.

It was no secret that Andrea had a romantic past with Francine’s love team partner, Seth Fedelin.

Andrea admitted in the past that she and Seth were in a relationship for two years before mutually agreeing to split up.

Francine’s supporters took to social media to air their displeasure with what happened during Saturday’s event.

Someone commented on X (formerly Twitter): “I hope that next time, everything is well organized and that all artists will have their spotlight as they walk on the red carpet.

“Fans waited for many hours to watch their idols walk on the red carpet, and even spent money, so their reward was a proper screentime for their idols.”

As it turned out, fans of Francine and Andrea went at it on social media to defend their favorite stars.

Fans would go back and forth, with Andrea’s fans arguing that their idol simply accommodated an interview and had no control over the technical aspects of the program.
