Kath, Alden continue saying ‘Hello’ to fans as they break records

CARSON, California – A special treat for Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards fans as the stars of the record-breaking “Hello, Love, Again” joined over 700 fans for several special sold-out TFC screenings in Carson, California.

These screenings come as the records continue piling up.

On Friday, the international production by ABS-CBN Films and GMA Pictures became the highest grossing Filipino film ever, surpassing the P930 million mark and winning the hearts of Filipino fans across the globe.

“I’ve seen it three times already. Three times!” said Nitz Vasquez.

“Love it, love it, love it,” said Zara Panganaban.

For these fans, they say the characters of Joy and Ethan and the story of overseas Filipino workers has resonated with them.

“It’s just really the OFWs. I love it,” said Marie.

“I thought that was a really good movie and the good thing about it, Kath was able to express her appreciation, a better perspective to the value of our overseas workers. She did a very good answer… we are nurses and caregivers and it’s give us, you feel you can relate especially as nurses we can connect with the movie,” said Florence Coset.

Richards and Bernardo said seeing the record turnout has been fulfilling.

“Grabe Filipinos talaga. Halos lahat ng kababayan not only in the Philippines but globally actually and we feel it here in LA in the US, nakakakita namin ‘yung support na bigay nila sa pelikula… There’s a lot to be thankful for especially to our kababayans here abroad because this is our story. We are just very happy and very fulfilled. The support we’ve been getting is far beyond our expectations,” said Richards.

Since “Hello, Love, Again” was released, Bernardo and Richards have been enjoying the diverse reactions for their global audiences including these North American screening.

 “Not just international audiences. We’ve noticed when we’re doing rounds in Manila sa iba’t ibang malls you’ll see different age groups which is really interesting. And ngayon padating we have met and greeted so different people, different age group different line of work. Nakakatuwa, lahat sila nananood ng movies, really it doesn’t matter if your single, you have a family, you bring your friend. It’s that kind of movie,” said Bernardo.

 “Hello, Love, Again” is playing in around 250 theaters in North America. This past weeks, it set the record for highest-grossing Filipino film in the US.

It is only took a few short weeks, but the award winning record breaking Hello, Love Again has already proven to be an instant classic with overseas Filipinos enjoying and reliving this story again and again and again continuing to show their love.
