On June 29, showbiz columnist Ogie Diaz shared a video of his interview with Kris Aquino and her teenage son, Bimby and netizens were stunned by a revelation from the Queen of All Media.

In the interview, Kris discussed her past with the politician Mark Leviste stating firmly that a reconciliation was out of the question.

“Yes definitely, walang balikan na mangyayari,” she said.

Kris added, “Nagkalabuan na magmula November. Sinubukang ayusin pero may mga nalaman ako na hindi ko gusto.”

Kris also addressed her decision to step away from social media following their breakup, citing her desire for peace during a challenging period of her illness.

“I’m at the stage in my life na mas gusto ko ng tahimik. The last post I had was way back in May. I’ve kept quiet because mas matindi ‘yung treatment na pinagdadaanan ko recently. Ayokong ibalita sa mga tao na hirap ako, pagod ako. Why should I burden people? When everybody has their own burden na kailangan nilang malagpasan,” she explained.

She mentioned as well that despite efforts to save their relationship, she and Mark decided to part ways. Kris even appealed to netizens, to refrain from asking about her and Mark, confirming they’ve moved on and are no longer in contact.

“We both tried but I think tama yung sinabi ni Bimb also. I would like to say na we’re still friendly pero at a distance na,” she said.

Last year, Kris announced their separation on Instagram, citing the challenges of a long-distance relationship and Mark’s demanding role in public service as contributing factors.

Kris will remain in the US to continue her treatments for her autoimmune diseases having started methotrexate, a medication used for cancer, psoriasis, and rheumatoid arthritis.
